Kollektion: Filippo Manetti - Emilia-Romagna
Vigne di San Lorenzo is a small vineyard located in Brisighella, a town in the province of Ravenna, in the Emilia-Romagna region. Filippo Manetti is the man who manages this beautiful place, with a total of 3 hectares of vineyards.
Back in 1998, Filippo bought an old church and transformed it into his new home and farm.
Passion is the right word for the work that Filippo puts into his winemaking. He carefully monitors every step of the production - right from the start in the fields until the wines are bottled.
He works with the grapes Albana, Trebbiano, Sangivese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbo Gentile. The process is completely organic, the work is done manually and the fermentation only takes place spontaneously with wild yeast.
In the cellar, he works with great respect for tradition and stores his wines in a mixture of amphora and various wooden casks. The wines are not filtered or clarified before being bottled with a minimal amount of sulfur - only to create a little stability.
The wines Filippo produces are truly a rarity for the region and he makes really very lively and soulful wines!
