Kollektion: Longarico - Sicily

Longarico is a small vineyard in Alcamo in the northwestern part of Sicily. The project was started by the two friends, Luigi Stalteri and Alessandro Viola. Alessandro and Luigi met each other back in 2007. In 2015, they could both feel their home region, Sicily, calling them. They therefore moved back to Sicily and thus Longarico was born.

It is a very small project with about 2 hectares of vineyards near the Bosco d'Alcamo nature reserve, located between 350 and 700 meters of altitude overlooking the river Freddo.
They work with the grapes Catarratto, Nerello mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio, Syrah and a little bit of Pinot nero. The vineyards are cultivated with an organic approach and all work is done manually by hand. Fermentation takes place spontaneously and only with the use of wild yeast and the wine is bottled unfiltered and unfiltered with small amounts of sulfur added.

Longarico is a perfect example of 'size doesn't matter'! They make really nice wines that just taste better!
